What Landing Page Should You Use With Facebook Ads?

When using Facebook ads, should you drive traffic to a “squeeze page” or a “content page”? In this video, I reveal results from a 14 day test. The test was to determine what the difference in customer acquisition cost would be when driving traffic to a straight squeeze page vs. a reverse squeeze page (which is just a content page that gives value first before asking for a visitor’s email address.)

I’ve been doing the “boost post” function on my Facebook page that drives traffic straight to a blog post with opt-in at the end of the blog post. Been getting 4 leads for every $5 spent. Just got to figure out how to do conversions better. Great Video though.

Makes sense and as you said you are bombarded with emails promising too much and trying to get your emailaddress for more crazy offers. People are tired for that and want real value and real trust in you and your business.

Hi James, I like this video, I was wondering if you had a video on how to set up asking for email information with these Facebook ads? I have no idea with this stuff.

    Thanks

James, its amazing, you are actually executing the strategy that you are speaking about as you are speaking about it. You just showed all of us content before the ‘offer’. Great work.

This seems to go against all conventional wisdom regarding the acquisition
of sign ups but I actually think you are right, people are fed up with
current methods and if you do get a response, the email addresses tend
to be secondary email accounts that don’t get opened.
I’m here because I watched your ad on Facebook re targeting, where you
are implementing this very strategy. I intend buying your report shortly.

Hey James, Thanks for the awesome video and real insight into the results you are getting with your ads. This is something I am spending time testing a lot right now to get the acquisition cost down and the lifetime value up over time. Value and content first I believe, just like you say is where things are at right now and you really hit the nail on the head when you talk about giving first and receiving second. It’s a shame that so many people don’t believe this and constantly focus on selling ALL the time instead of trying to build a real relationship with their audience that helps sustain the business model in the longer term.

It’s my first time here on your blog, but with insightful information like this here that I can take real value from, I’ll be back often.

    Appreciate you sharing great stuff.

Hey Steve, thanks for stopping by. Yeah man, this model works great for me. You’re right, many people are missing the boat by not adapting their marketing to this style.

Very informative, thanks for sharing James.

Curious to know if you’ve run similar tests to compare costs between traffic driven to content on a facebook page vs to content on an “external” website?

Marketing changes as the market get its blindness to the presentation method. I think you have found an ‘ever-green’ method to list building, as long as it is only the input to the sales funnel. Thanks for the case study.

Truly enjoyed this, I use the “Boost Post” feature a lot with our DJ & Events company but am looking at ways to better use FB & some other Social Media to promote our entertainment services.
